In the 2010 county comprehensive plan's Conservation and Natural Resources element, a renewable energy resources goal calls for development of renewable energy projects with adequate regulation to minimize potential adverse impacts (Goal CNR 4). In the Open Space element, a goal calls for supporting development and use of renewable energy sources, including solar energy (Goal OS 9).
