The county's unified development code permits "Electric Generation, Distributed" as an accessory use in all zoning districts. "Electric Generating Station" is a special use in certain districts and restricted to renewable energy sources in most of those districts (Table 30.44-1). Green building components such as renewable energy systems and solar access are encouraged in all planned unit development (§30.24.080.f.6).
