Solar Energy

The town plan's chapter on Energy and Telecommunications addresses solar. The plan notes that alternative and renewable energy sources will continue to grow in importance as traditional sources become more limited and expensive, and calls for the zoning regulations to encourage the use of solar energy systems (p. 70). Policy 5 states that the town will continue to encourage the development of renewable energy resources in the town, including solar panels (p. 71).
