Solar Energy

The Resilience chapter of the city's comprehensive plan includes multiple policies to support solar energy use and includes background information on solar access. Resilience Goal 1 includes policy recommendations to maximize solar orientation for new subdivisions, encourage residential solar development that protects character, and encourage large-scale solar development on marginal farmland in the eastern part of the city.
