Solar Energy

The city's sustainability strategy includes an "in-progress" community strategy of building capacity for renewable energy through citywide standards by completing and promoting alternative energy code amendments and identifying zoning code amendments to promote distributed energy generation through solar and wind (Item 28). A consultant-suggested "stretch" strategy is to promote a citizen-based cooperative to fund a community solar farm (p. 34).
