This model ordinance provides a template to help cities and counties of Louisiana adopt a complete development code or select-cafeteria style from individual tools provided in the toolkit. It includes 4 major components that help with the understanding of the toolkit. The 4 components being:

Zoning Reform and Code Writing

This model unified development code provides a template to help cities and parishes in Louisiana draft land-use and development regulations. Individual modules address zoning, subdivisions, special districts, parking, landscaping, lighting, storage, and signs. It includes an implementation handbook to assist with drafting and adoption.
