This report draws from interviews with farmers, neighborhood leaders, community residents, and other stakeholders in Baltimore City to highlight what differentiates urban farms from their rural counterparts. It examines barriers to community acceptance of urban farming and strategies for overcoming these barriers and garnering community support. It also offers recommendations for urban farmers, city planners, and other stakeholders to assist them in creating urban farming projects accepted and embraced by communities.
