Creative Placemaking
This guide explores how creative placemaking encourages parks and open spaces that serve communities. It describes a process for arts-based strategies, including imagining and framing, assembling and collaborating, designing and executing, and sustaining and maintaining. Additionally, it contains case studies, explored through four parts: geographic context, goals, arts-based strategy, and outcomes. The case studies represent examples creative placemaking in different settings, including traditional parks, informal open spaces, and infrastructure.
