This guide conceptualizes how changes in transportation technology can reshape street spaces. Using cross sections and descriptions, it illustrates alternative street designs that increase community uses and address local challenges. It suggests that by reducing lanes dedicated to vehicles, streets can prioritize sidewalks and paths, enhanced bikeways, and lanes dedicated to transit, as well as incorporate transit stops and drop off zone for shared used autonomous vehicles.
