Autonomous Vehicles

This functional plan presents actions to integrate autonomous vehicles (AVs) as part of the urban mobility system in Los Angeles. It envisions a proactive regulatory approach to regulating autonomous vehicles. Appendixes includes a description of how the agency aims to grant curbside access for pick-up and drop-off, pilot programs for autonomous vehicles in the downtown area, and a need for street design guidelines that include AVs.
