Creative Placemaking

New Mexico’s Arts and Cultural Districts Act supports creative placemaking by enabling state and municipally authorized arts and cultural districts. Arts and cultural districts are recognized for the physical and cultural resources that support economic and cultural development of a community (§15-5A-4). Districts can apply for funds from an “arts and cultural district fund” to carry out provisions of the act (§15-5A-7).
