This article challenges the cohousing movement for its lack of diversity. This could be due to the cost of development, the lack of knowledge or acceptance of cohousing, or the already existing strong community ties among non-White individuals. It ultimately advocates for cohousing as a useful community development approach, but urges developers to create mechanisms that will diversify the spaces.
