Affordable Housing Programs

This case study examines how the Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit were combined to finance several affordable housing projects in Clinton, Iowa. It highlights the work of Community Housing Initiatives (CHI), a statewide nonprofit housing developer, which has transformed spaces like department stores and YMCAs into affordable housing.
