Artificial Intelligence And Planning

This article examines how artificial intelligence may induce changes in the process of urban planning. It explores multiple vectors of AI influence on urban studies specifically, cellular automata, fuzzy logic, and neural networks. It concludes that while AI will be employed by planners moving forward, the expertise of human planners will be necessary to design and inform the conclusions of AI software solutions.
