Urban Heat Resilience

This article presents a climate-based classification of urban and rural areas to support efforts of measuring urban heat island effects. Different sections of this article address the problem with simple urban-rural divisions, give an overview of the existing urban and rural landscape classifications, and introduce the local climate zones (LCZs) classification.
