Urban Heat Resilience

This article presents a scorecard that can support planners’ hazard mitigation efforts. It applies a plan integration scorecard in six communities to analyze the degree to which the local network of plans is targeting areas most vulnerable to hazards. Some of the findings suggest that some plans increase the community's vulnerability to hazards and that policies often support mitigation in areas with low vulnerability.
