It includes targets and initiatives related to Environmental Justice, Housing and Development, Food Systems, Prosperity and Green Jobs, and other topics.

Urban Heat Resilience

This functional plan contains strategies to help reduce or moderate the effects of urban heat. One of the goals outlined in the plan is to reduce the urban/rural temperature differential by investing in cool roofs, establishing cool neighborhood programs, and installing cool pavement materials in the communities most vulnerable to the heat island effect.
