Urban Heat Resilience

This functional plan contains several strategies to address the impacts of urban heat. Some of the solutions identified include establishing an urban heat mitigation program in priority areas (GB8), reducing the number of parking spaces within the jurisdiction to help reduce heat islands (LT2), and developing a street tree strategic plan focused on areas most vulnerable to the effects of urban heat islands (NR9).
