Autonomous Vehicles

This briefing paper offers options to align autonomous vehicle (AV) policy with existing equity and sustainability priorities in the state of California. These options include encouraging shared AV services to provide connection to public transit, establishing workforce impact mitigation strategies associated with AV technologies, and providing direction to manufacturers and operators on insurance and liability.
