Tree Preservation and the Urban Forest

This report outlines the impacts of urban tree canopy on public health and the environment in Rochester, New York. It includes sections on the benefits of trees on people’s physical health, mental health, and social capital; trees’ impacts on heat, stormwater, air pollution, noise pollution, and carbon impacts; environmental justice regarding spatial distribution equity, recognitional equity, procedural equity, and equity through employment.
