AICP Membership Dues Lapse

Important Information Regarding Lapsed AICP Membership

Your AICP membership and eligibility to use the AICP credential lapsed because we did not receive your AICP dues by the due date. (Please refer to your My APA page for the date.)

We are here to help you reinstate your AICP membership and credential. Please be aware that if you delay reinstating, you will be required to:

  • Pay all AICP dues owed from the date your membership lapsed; and
  • Document that you earned 32 CM credits, including law and ethics credits, for the CM reporting period you were in when you lapsed, and for each subsequent CM reporting period that has ended.

Also, please note:

  • You may not use the AICP credential in any way until you renew your membership.
  • If you do not complete the AICP membership reinstatement process within four years of your lapsed membership, you will be required to re-take the AICP Comprehensive Planning Exam.

Refer to the AICP Reinstatement Policy for more information.

Should you choose not to reinstate your AICP membership, please let us know why by sending an email to AICPCM@planning.org. Member satisfaction is important to us and we would appreciate your feedback. We will review your comments and keep them in mind as we continue to improve member service.

Retain your APA Membership

Even though your AICP membership has lapsed, your APA and chapter memberships will remain active as long as your dues are current. Renew online now, and simply exclude AICP dues from your payment.
