Mehri has academic background in Architectural Design and Urban Sociology. Mehri has over 12 years of professional experience in the Middle East and Europe, from serving as the national delegate of ISOCARP (International Society of City and Regional Planners) to working as a board member for the “City Image Committee” at Semnan City Council. Her research and practice mainly focus on social and health disparities in urban America. During the last seven years, she has focused on urban accessibility issues Muslim minorities face in the Detroit Metro Area. Mehri's work has been internationally presented at several academic and professional conferences.
