Sarah More's professional leadership in APA over the past 25 years is impressive. As Arizona Chapter president and APA national board member she has been a tireless advocate for planning and has raised the level of APA's effectiveness. Her work guiding growth in Tucson and Arizona will leave a lasting legacy. Inducted 2006.

Professional Biography

Sarah S. More, FAICP Sarah More is the Planning and Building Director for the Town of Sahuarita, Arizona. She has been with the Town Since September 2009. Sarah has worked in local government planning for over 35 years, including with the City of Tucson and the Town of Oro Valley. She has had a wide range of planning experience, everything from area plans to general plans, rezoning, subdivision and master planned community design, writing zoning ordinances, and now managing building safety. Sarah's expertise in land use law, zoning and community planning has led her to be an effective advocate for planning as a long-time legislative and policy member. She has her bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Arizona. Sarah is a a board member of the Friends of Planning, in support of the University of Arizona planning program and students. She is a former APA national and Arizona chapter board member and currently serves on PAB site visit teams and has served as on the FAICP selection committee.
